Atomic Blogging

I had been reading Alvin Phang's blog, Gather Success, for several months beforeAtomic Blogging 2.0 came out. The first month I read his blog Alvin published his earnings, which came to over $10,000 for the month! I was very impressed and have read his blog consistently ever since. Then Alvin launched Atomic Blogging 2.0.

I'm not a big fan of buying products because I know that most of them are scams or at least information not worth the money you spent. But since it was Alvin, writing what he knows about, blogging, I figured it would be worth the $47 to see what he had to say. I have to say I was pretty impressed.

The ebook consists of 140 pages jammed with information as well as numerous bonus products to help you on your way. The book covers the five basics of becoming a successful blogger: finding a niche, building your blog, SEO (Search Engine Optimization), traffic and monetization.

Finding a Niche

The ebook does not go in depth about how to select your niche, but the section on keyword research is very good. Alvin tells you what free programs there are on the internet to use. He lists several online tools that can be just as useful as an expensive keyword tool. Also included free with the ebook is a keyword research program developed by Alvin himself.

He tells you what to look for in a keyword, how to tell if you can rank high in the major search engines, and how to find how much demand there is, which will control how much traffic you can get. He also delves into SEO right away by telling you what a good domain name is that will help you get more traffic and rank high in the SERPs (Search Engine Ranking Positions)

I liked his section on keyword research a lot because he recognizes the importance of doing keyword research before starting a blog.

Building your Blog

This section is great for anybody who has no idea how to create a blog using Wordpress, the most common blog platform. There is step by step
instructions with screen shots for every step making it really easy to setup your blog without hassles. If you have or already know how to setup a blog with Wordpress this section might be of little use. He tells you how to purchase your domain name, setup your hosting with that domain and then install wordpress on your website. He goes through every step from beginning to end of the process.

This may be pretty basic for those with some experience in Wordpress. However, he does list a few SEO tips that may be useful even for advanced bloggers and if you don't know how to setup a Wordpress blog this section is great for you.

SEO

The SEO section includes many Wordpress plug-ins that will help you rank higher and get more traffic. He also gives some tips as far as post names, ways you set up your blog and the domain name that will all optimize your blog for search engines. There isn’t too much advanced stuff in here but they are all great SEO techniques and unless you want to get really advanced, Alvin has included everything you will need.

Monetization

I am going to assume that almost every single one of you hopes to make money off of your blog. Well the ebook includes four different ways you can make money from your blog. This includes different types of ads with a chart of good ad placement. It also includes several other methods to earn some cash from your blog.

Traffic

Alvin includes 35 pages of different methods to take get tons of traffic. He includes how to get traffic from the search engines, how to take advantage of web 2.0 sites and even a great section about Adwords. If you don't get traffic after using the methods in Atomic Blogging 2.0 then you are going to have a hard time getting any traffic ever.

Alvin includes many proven methods of traffic generation. He walks you through all the main traffic methods that the gurus use. Article marketing, PPC, search engines and web 2.0 are used by almost all internet marketing and blogging gurus. Atomic Blogging 2.0 tells you step by step how to use all of these methods to get visitors to your blog.

Conclusion

In conclusion, I was very impressed with Atomic Blogging 2.0. There are a couple spelling mistakes and once in a while Alvin assumes that you know something and skips a step. However, over all Atomic Blogging is a great guide for starting a very profitable blog. It is for both complete newbies and weathered bloggers. If you are already generating $10,000 a month from blogging then you may only benefit from one or two of the advanced techniques. However, if you are a complete newbie to blogging than this will walk you through every step and even if you have a cash generating blog or two, you can learn many things from the experience of Alvin Phang.
